It doesn't diminish the impressiveness at all in my book.  It was just
a creative solution to a problem; nothing more, nothing less.

The working grandfather clock truly is a sight to see.  But naturally,
for obvious reasons, I'm most partial to the Calista Flockhard mosaic
built from Modulex bricks.  :)
