I think it looks good.  Here's a slight tweak

            __/   _       _   _
           (_/\_.(_7_/_/_/ (_(_7_.

How does that look?  I adjusted the right sides of the a's and modified the
'L' slightly to make it look like it joins with the first 'a'.

I couldn't seem to do anything with the 'u'.
