dont feel bad it was good code, just not the code i am working in
and there is a way to use the trick you are talking about in bash
but it would require a lot of code that would slow the whole thing down and
also require some rather tedious tweeking of the clock's face parsing to make
it truly skinable

befor i started work on it i need the info on if there was a standerd
font size for ascii style fonts and while i was at it i could in the pulling
the hair out moments of coding get a few skins together for the release

now the time function works right now but i need to rewrite part of it
becase the time prints like

instead of the corect horazontal out put
but one i get my 45 gig harddrive all set up and runing linux and windows
i will be able to devote the code to fix it
