Yes. When good little children eat all their vegetables, then, on the

Seriously, "beansidhe" is the Gaelic root for "banshee".
About the 3-line font. '"' is probably the best character for filling
the upper half of a space. Since this isn't adequate, how about avoid
using the upper half. Something like this:
ooo, ooooo ,ooo, oo oo,ooo, oo ooo, oo oo ooooo
d8oob d8oo d8oodP dP8dP 8oo, dP dP dP d8odP d8oo
d8ooP'd8ooo dP dP dP 8P booP'dP d8ooP'dP dP d8ooo
If you want more definition, shift to a different style. Use
line-drawing characters, like this:
