Do you mean that it runs in a dosbox, or do you boot to dos in order
to run FIGLET? If it's in a dosbox, then just press alt+enter if it's
in fullscreen mode, and then choose the cutline box from the toolbar.
Drag the area you want to copy and then press enter. Now the text in
the DOS window is in your clipboard. Open your editor or newsreader
and paste.

Figlet should run properly without booting to dos, because it doesn't
use any special direct hardware tricks, or anything else.
