Line-Talk: Evolution of a sig

   A long, long time ago, I saw some music symbols, and copied them, and 
put together a music sig:

   Some people kept saying that it was not technically correct.  And of 
course I told them to stick their head in the toilet. :-) Just kidding. I 
asked if somebody could make it correct. So Chris King fixed it for me.  
I took his correct version and re-added some of the stylistic elements 
from my version, and got:

   Then I decided to add a shadow effect just to see how it would look, 
and I liked it, and posted it:

   Then I get email from Bas Meijer <ba...@damek.kth.se> who sent in a 
diddle, saying "I saw your post, and I think I have a better version of 
the first symbol (whatever it's called in English).  hope you like it."
