If you look in those directories, you will find the vt100 animations. None of the vt100 animations are located in the /pub/vt100.animations. They are located in the further subdirectories. This is why you were getting the error "not a plain file" using the get command. The ftp program was right. It isn't a plain file. It is a directory.
