So is my page. It works well in both 640x480 and 1280x1024, and
hopefully it works acceptably in anything between and beyond those
values.

The font is so small it's _unreadable_!

<font size="1">  is _unreadable_ to many people!
<font size="2">  is what you use for _unimportant_ text...
<font size="3">  is what you use for NORMAL text!!!
<font size="4">  is "loud"
<font size="5"> or above is equivalent to "shouting".

It's quite simple really. To get things to _work_ on a web page all you
need to do about the fonts is - NOTHING! If you see a <font ...> tag
somewhere in your html then you know you have done something wrong.

Actually, yes, you can. The trick is to avoid overspecifying stuff...
For ascii art, just use <pre> (plus &amp; and &lt; of course) and let
the reader's browser do the rest.

You used a proportional font for ascii art. Read the FAQ to figure out
why that doesn't work:

No, it was what I had set to be NORMAL size!

For preformatted text (including ascii art and posts to newsgroups)
there is a general rule that says that most people _should_ be able to
handle "70-80 characters wide". Anything over that is too much. Please
note that this has nothing to do with "font size" (from the point of
view of the web page author).

Your logo is 96 characters wide. My browser showed a width of 75
characters.
