_Those_ are _trademarks_ and are not subject to the same laws as
copyright....But your sentiment is correct about it all.

There _was_ one guy here that claimed to have officially registred
his 2 and 3 line ascii's AND thier storylines but he was a real dork
and no one really gave a shit about it......Besides he was a troll...

I doubt that anyone could claim copyright on any one liners _now_ unless
they ARE really long and they could PROVE that they was first in creating
them because ascii art has been around long enough that about every thing
that can fit in a short one line ascii has been done or at least a varaint
close enough to it has been done.But it would be _easy_ to claim and use one
as a TRADEMARK.


all this copyright shit is boring,but i guess its improtant to understand
it when poeple start trying to bullshit people about it....
