See if the printer has a little toggle switch for
"auto linefeed" and turn it off.
What brand printer? Does it use standard
ESC P2 sequences like an Epson?
Regardless, there should be a sequence for
"doublestrike" or "bold".
Or you might find a sequence for "reverse
linefeed".
