Thought I'd include this just to round off the story arc. Penny Arcade is
another on-line comic -- uh, I mean, a -real- on-line comic. It's over at
www.penny-arcade.com. Tycho and Gabe are both the main characters and the makers
of that comic, and if you aren't familiar with them, you'll probably just go
"Huh? Pac Man? John Romero?" Thing is, they're gamer freaks. Most of their stuff
is only "funny-haha" for gamers, although most of it is also very "funny-weird"
for just about everybody who isn't a schizophrenic.

I e-mailed the guy who does the writing (Tycho Brahe, but that's not his real
name, DUH!) and asked if I could use Tycho and Gabe in my comic. He wrote, and I
quote: "You're welcome to use them.  They look very nice, asciified!" I was all
aglow for a week or so. (Hey, I'm a poet and I didn't know it! Actually, I did.
:P)

I thought it was fun to adapt Gabe's (if Tycho writes, then what does Gabe do, I
wonder?) funky style into NB-style ASCII. The downside of this strip is that
there's no real joke. For some reason, I thought that the "punchline" in this
strip was funny when I made it. Now I just look at it and think "Yeah, ok, but
where's the joke?" Actually, the funniest part is "Make haste!", IMO. :)

One last strip for the road, since it's wheel chair related. It's a standard
gag, but there's also some character development here, I think. Here we see that
Mandy is more of an airhead than a cruel bitch, which is kind of both what I
like and dislike about her. She never really bitches, she just -is-, and that's
enough. It's like that old joke where there's a long list called "How to get her
horny", and the list called "How to get him horny" is just "Show up".
