> Who is John Ashcroft?

=v= A total nutcase of the religious variety. Ran for office
and was so reviled that he lost to a dead candidate, after which
he was appointed Attorney General of the United States. He
called this a crucificixon followed by a resurrection, and to
underscore his self-comparison, he had himself annointed. With
Crisco vegetable oil.

=v= As Attorney General, he visited the Hague and his advance
team went to check the place out for him. The team worried that
there might be calico cats on the premises because, they said,
Ashcroft thinks they're a sign of the devil.
