I started out with 2.9 and it went to 0.1278... again. So my opinnion and experience is, that you could start with any value between -oo and 3 and get the solution 0.1278... If you strt with any value larger than 3 you only get to oo/9. So you always get only one solution, while eventually requiring the other. Or you can try out where the second is, by calculating this again and again with different initial values for x. Where the ending value is not the fist solution and not oo/9 but stays constant, you got solution no. 2. Joey
