It's the best guitar Gibson ever made, yes a hollow bodied but not
strictly semi-acoustic, yes names after Mr Les Paul - a great jazz and
blues player.  Many many self-respecting guitarists use or at least
own a Les paul or a copy. The classic lines, the wonderful rich
harmonic sounds *rant foam dribble*
