That is an ascii version of an anim I found on
http://javascript.internet.com recently. The original javascript used a
gif snowflake; I replaced it with a Joan's ascii one. It uses layers so
a browser 4+ is required. It does work on NC 4.5. I haven't tested it
on IE so far (going to do it soon) so it may not work, although it
should. Some further playing with parameters is needed to make it nicer;
I have just thought about the possibility to asciify it and done it
quickly. Look at the source code for credits. The good untypical thing
was that it took much less time than usually.

Valery; I too am alive and, "due to real-life affairs", merely kicking in a vaguely ineffectual way. I appreciate seeing an ontopic post here in aaaa and would dearly like to look at your snow animation but still haven't been close to a version 4 browser. I suspect this will happen eventually and then I will be suitably amazed. This definitely starts to sound like some Woody Allen-movie (neurotic macho Totton Heffelfinger restricting his bright spouse to display her talents cos the burning bush said this is the kosher thing to do).
