A research grant was let the year before last by the United States Congress,
encouraged by the then incumbent party, to discover the real truth about this
incredibly controversial drawing. Needless to say, while some were pursuing
the quantitization of outgassing from Polled Herefords, others were studiously
investigating this drawing for the Plain, simple, Truth."
The conclusion by the committee that studied the material thus far engendered
in this debate was final. Their presentation to the House Committee on
Half-Ascii Drawings was that this was actually a prototype of the first
mamalian Chicken. They showed that it was actually a side pocketed marsupial
with a flap covering a teat for little chickens. The side pocket was to be
covered by a decorative wing. Thus, Chickens can't fly.
Their studies completed, the Committee was scrapped by the new party in
Congress, but not before they commissioned a re-study of the issue. More
to come....
