Topaz New font

Hey, I just downloaded the Topaz New font because everyone was talking
about how cool it is.  The font was obviously made for Windows machines,
and I have a Macintosh.  I used a conversion program to convert the font
and now I can use it.  I like it a lot too!  But, a couple of the
letters look kinda funky.  I was wondering, is the capital "i" supposed
to look like a parenthese ")" ?  Or is it just my conversion program
that messed it up?

I think your converter has mixed up the characters somewhat.

On the two Windows versions that I have, both have proper 'i' characters.


If might be worth trying the conversion again, or perhaps trying the one
that either is or isn't defined as monospaced dependant on whether the one
you already have is. (erm... That doesn't make much sense, does it?)

FWIW, Topaz New is a conversion of the Amiga's system font (Topaz) from
Kickstart 2 and upwards... so if you like Topaz New, you might want to make
ASCII Art on an Amiga! Interestingly enough, 8pt Topaz seems to correspond
to 11pt Topaz New on the Windows95 default resolution. I suspect that on the
Mac, it will be 8pt that matches the 8pt Amiga font.

It must be your conversion program.....
