A few points for digestion...
If a "thread", a rather weakly joined strand of concept,
which becomes thinner the longer it is drawn out,
splits,
and a new concept is discussed,
surely it should become a new thread.
It is easy enough to ignore postings
that you don't want to read
(simply delete, or move on).
Bateau obviously didn't mind the posting being there,
as he read it,
and chose to get stuck into the mud-pie contest
with the immortal line:
"And the obvious point
that everyone else sees is
'Who cares if one old troll
gets tired of it?'".
