I worked fine. Later on i tried this on ascii art, but it's a little harder, but it works good enough for a rough sketch. -S.Oversteegen leg...@caihwk.nl

Goto www.winfiles.com Search the site for Ascii Art. The program you'll want is called AsciiPic. It will convert bmp files to txt files. For proper porportion, resize the source image to half of its original height while keeping the original width.

Well, you did use the word "convert". When I use that word I expect the quality of what comes out on the other side to at least appear to be similar to what I put into it. Unfortunately nobody has yet managed to create a "gif-to-ascii converter" that produces anything but garbage. Certainly nothing that could be called "ascii ART". No, they won't do exactly what you want, they won't even make a decent approximation.
