   Hmmm ... there seems to be some disagreement here.  Somebody else said it 
was a group for fans of John Melloncamp's Scarecrow album.  And I thought 
it was a group for the fans of the Wizard of Oz.

   I know, it's that bloody Bill Pfeiffer's fault.  He didn't put a 
tagline on the group.  Let's all send bogus posts to his newsgroup. :^)

Sheesh... just looked at that Newsgroup line.  Will not dare alter it for fear 
of getting the dreaded "WHITESPACE" message.

There is an "alt.fan.scarecrow"?  And it does not refer to the wondrous 
gentleman who created the Scarecrow in Oz? Someone is gonna roast in hell 
[along with the female person who drove her children into a lake].

By my newsreader, it got here because bob...@wwa.com added it., along
with a half dozen other groups to which it was never intended to go.

I still don't know why Mr Allison felt the need to add all the above
groups to this post.  The previous post (from Vance Gloster) seemed to
contain only the group alt.fan.scarecrow.

Franky I dont know why the other groups were added, apparently by Bob
Allison, especially news.groups and news.admin.misc, but that is his
thing.  Deal with him on that, not me.  I dont know why half those
groups were added.

I am not deleting any groups, except for his rec.arts.ascii  group
(since it is moderated I dont want to infringe on his space) just so
the ones who saw the previous message can see my reply.

This group was inteded to be a fun thing.  Can we keep it that way?

   Sorry about that.  I had started out to write a serious article about
small groups like a.f.s and how they might be used for creative group
endeavors.  That's why I intended to send it to those groups.

   I tried to write it twice but wasn't able to say what I was thinking.
So I changed my mind and decided to just write a humorous follow-up, 
trying to make a joke or two, but forgot to remove most of the groups 
except for the appropriate ones.  Sorry.
