I did consider having narration in the form of a step-by-step manual, but I scrapped that. Here it is, one for each row of panels: STEP ONE: Fire grappling hook. STEP TWO: To ascend, reel in line. Now it makes sense! :) Maybe if there were some kind of *bang* *boooom* or something like that in the last panel (in every other there is some kind of "sound") that would be more obvoius what's going on Greetings! -- | / _ _ _ . _ | / |/ / \ / \ / | / \ |/ |\ | | `-. | | |-| |\ kos...@poczta.onet.pl | \ \_/ \_/ \_ | | | | \

He has all kinds of strips that illustrate an action and a consequence, without actually depicting either of them. It's just the beginning of an action, and the final result. That gap in time makes his strips less predictable and more fun. I guess I just made that gap too big. -- OO Joaquim Gndara .||. http://www.Nerd-Boy.net bb jg

It's rather limitation of ascii-art... I didn't get the idea of the strip simply because I didn't know that this strange thing on the floor is part of ceiling. That's why I have wrote why this "booom" would be helpful. Greetings! -- | / _ _ _ . _ | / |/ / \ / \ / | / \ |/ |\ | | `-. | | |-| |\ kos...@poczta.onet.pl | \ \_/ \_/ \_ | | | | \

This was the first time i had to stare for a few seconds to really get it. Maybe some dots depicting particles could have helped? It looks like some isometric 3D effekt otherwise. ob-ascii: Something that disappeared.

In my own humble opinion, it's actually a bit funnier now. It's now more morbid, which is what I was going for. http://www.nerd-boy.net/589 -- OO Joaquim Gndara .||. http://www.Nerd-Boy.net bb jg

I was feeling like a bit of an outsider to a joke there for a while, but now I've seen the updated version I get the original. Ta STM

However, I think Lukasz has the best way to make your original concept work: give thickness to the ceiling. Without it, it *does* look like the ceiling and the floor are bent out of shape, in a way that does not make sense w/r to the state of the story. -- Bertrand
