Never before has a computer graphics picture really made me take
notice like
this! As the artist says, there is much in the design that is derived
from
current technology, and also much that is new. It is a well balanced
nicely
formed sculpture. The detail's not bad either :-).

        I am now filled with the desire to go out and do the same (fat
chance). I wish I could afford 128Mb ram and 3DSr4, but POV-ray and a
8Mb
will have to do. Congratulations!

Possible ship name.. Jormungand (the world-serpent from Norse Myth).

Your battleship is truly awesome. "Attention to detail" is a profound
understatement. It is exquisite! The lights are so realistic, I don't
think
anyone who didn't know this was a computer-generated model would ever
guess.

Have you thought about what Gary would be capable of if he had an SGI
to work
with? There must be someone somewhere who would appreciate his vast
potential
and invest in some worthy hardware/software!

Wow! A Truly awe-inspiring model! I and everyone else envy you the
time
and RAM you had available to do something of this magnitude. Oh yes,
and
I suppose there was some degree of talent there, too <grin>. I'm
looking
forward to the next project.
 
I'd like to make one very minor suggestion. The starfield background
in
your JPEGS don't do your fantastic ship justice. Even viewed in
Truecolor at 1024x768, they appear to be a sparse collection of white
dots of uniform size and intensity--very unstar-like. You probably
were
careful not to choose a background that would compete with your model,
but I think you could afford to play it up just a tad. After all,
while
you're going over-the-top with your model, you might as well give the
same attention to detail to the rest of the presentation. The
movie-makers will notice.
