How do you do that curly whirly thing that I've seen ppl put as part of
their subject in past posts?

It looks kewl, and it is made up of ascii characters or something.

   _--_    _--                           _--_    _--
,;'       ';,,;'       SUBJECT      ,;'       ';,,;'

etc. (that'll give u some idea what i mean--or maybe not)
it has ribbon like stream comming out each side

just copy and paste it here for me (or email it to me:
smo...@lycos.com)

thanks heaps!!!!

~~~~~~~ do you mean this? if so, it's shift-hash, at least on UK keyboards.
When you say a little longer and better, what exactly do you mean? Wider
lines? More ornate? Perhaps you might give it a shot....
obascii-art of a ribbon
        '======'     '====,    `
                          '===='
/!\ WARNING - non ASCII-characters inside /!\
Also, I was wondering, are you the guy who asked the same question in
alt.2600?
You're welcome [1].
You mean obsolete? Well, the limitation IS an important part of the
creation process (this coming from someone who really sucks at Ascii-Art,
but does enjoy it anyway).
It also allows you to create something much more universal, which can be
created and watched on most computers, including old ones, or esoteric
ones.
Ext chars (like ANSI art) provide a different medium...  I don't say it
better or worst, but it's like the difference between b&w and colour
movies... I like both (sadly we don't see many *new* black & white movies
these days).
[1] That is, as long as you keep calling me smart man ;p
ObAscii :
your brain on drugs ---> 8
Don't try it at home, kids!
