Had a bit of trouble with the news server today. Apparently it's called
something else now. However, that's probably not an excuse for posting
the strip 51 minutes after the day it was supposed to be up. On the other
hand, if I hadn't I probably wouldn't have used Khamura's XL Nerd Boy
and Mandy (which are excellent by the way).

As for celebrating the 500th strip, since Khamura did that already, I
opted for one of those weird thingies I do sometimes, inspired by the
"reading the 500th strip" idea Yeti proposed.

Thank you, thank you very much. XD The strip was actually quite 
troublesome -- the first several drafts were all wider than 100 spaces, 
so I had to cut down severely. Originally I was in there as a 
self-insert as well, but then I dropped that idea because there was no 
way I could've pushed the width down to 72 otherwise. :>

Heh. I was actually wondering if I should wait until you'd posted yours, 
but since the tribute took the plaec of the actual comic for Monday, I 
decided to go ahead and send it off. (I /was/ done by noon -- 
inspiration simply struck me that morning. I wish it was that easy mor 
often.)
