We found a tunnel, dug the thing out then somehow got it into a jar. They are huge mean looking things!!! Why would the spider evolve venom that only really works on primates though? Or maybe its just an unfortunate side effect... Ross

There are no primates native to AU. The venom did the job it needed to do, which wasn't much because of the strength of the fangs and size of the spider, and just as a side effect it happend to be realy deadly to humans.
