Google has taken over dejanews and I can't figure out how to view messages
using fixed width (perhaps they don't know that some people want that) One
can't search within certain dates any longer; the advanced search leaves a
LOT to be desired....

After ebay bought Deja's profitable business ("precision buying"), what would have happened to the non-profit usenet archive if google hadn't picked it up? That's a screenshot of your post using Google Groups aka Deja.com. It's looked like that for me since day one. I think your browser is choking on the <font> tags within the <pre> tags (which seem to have no reason to exist, but I digress.)
