The curve. ;) Why don't you post your attempts, so ppl can see what you're getting right, and make suggestions? When I was trying to learn how to do circles, I looked at other ppl's attempts; I found it to be really useful. :) Have a look at the ones on this page, for a start, and tell us how you get on! :-) http://www.auburn.edu/~norgapd/ascii/geomet *hugs* Hayley -- _ _ _ _ _ _ (o\---/o) (o\-~-/o) (o\~~~/o) ( 6 6 ) ( , , ) ( 9 9 ) ____,~~.(_(T)_),~~.__,--.{_(Y)_},--.__,--.(_(T)_),--.____ | "--" "--" "--" "--" "~~" "~~" | |Hayley J. You generally don't get the form perfect, only implied, and as long as you get good at impling forms, that can look really good. I was actually reccomended by someone with far greater experience than I to keep some circles on hand, to replicate as needed. I found it to be very useful advice. And I cite an example of a implied circle. A rather well-done peice by Spunk1111, or jgs, of the moon. Circles within circles, basically, and although they are not exact perfect circles in a geometrical sense, they are more than adequate for a good drawing. ___---___ .-- --. ./ () .-. \. / o . Just wondering one thing..... I just posted a picture from someone
else as an example of a question. By all means, I don't want to step
on anyone's toes, and I realized after I did it that I do not know the
protocol reguarding posting someone else's work. I assume, that in this
case, as I am using Jgs' art as an example of how to do it right, then
the result would be only flattery, of course, and no ill intent would
be meant or implied. But of any other case, what else do you need to do
besides simply include the name of the artist in the post? Anything?

I look at this little circle I tried to make.., and i think it's really
stupid looking.
So I submit this tiny one.

It's beautiful, isn't it? :D

It's just a fact that I use 80x25 text mode, so if someone uses a different screenmode during drawing the picture will look silly on my display, much the same way as my circle morphed itself into an egg on Your display.
