Hi, I am a student at UC Berkeley, and I am taking this class where we have to go to a news group and ask an "intelligent question". So I guess my question is Is there any books or internet sites about ascii art? Thank you Lan

Read the FAQ, if there is one. In this case the FAQ can be found here: http://studserv.stud.uni-hannover.de/~freise/ascii/faq.html (hint: if you had you would already have known the answer to your "intelligent question") 2. Lurk - a lot! - before posting anything. (hint 2: posts of the type "help me solve this school problem: ..." are generally not treated very nicely in newsgroups. "Do your own homework!" is the usual reply) [Does anybody else see "CP2" written all over this post? :-6 #$%& ] -- _ __ __ _ _ __ ___.--'_`. \ \ / /__ _ _ ___ _ _ (_)__ __ _ .'_`--.___ __ ( _`.'. - 'o` ) \ V / -_) '_/ _ \ ' \| / _/ _` | ( 'o` - .`.'_ ) _\.'_' _.-' \_/\___|_| \___/_||_|_\__\__,_| `-._ `_`./_ ( \`. ) //\` '/\\ ( .'/ ) \_`-'`---'\\__, uggc://jjj.yhqq.yhgu.fr/~ix/ ,__//`---'`-'_/ \` `-\ r93...@fz.yhgu.fr /-' '/ ` ascii art chat: http://www.ludd.luth.se/~vk/cgi/asciichat/ '

Read the FAQ for this newsgroup (it's posted regularly here), that can tell you almost everything you need to know about ASCII art, it looks like the most comprehensive text on the subject I've ever read. . . .. . *. - -_ _-__-0oOo _-_ -__ -||||) ______||||______ ~~~~~~~~~~`""' ____________________________ -- .-~~-. Check the FAQ for sites.
But then again, you would've already read the FAQ
so you would know what intelligent questions to
ask at this ng, wouldn't you? ;)

Maybe I'm mistaken, so never mind. -Sarah
SARAH! What was that I told you about before, you know, the bit about
keeping a note of who wrote what at the beginning of each post...

1. I think there was something wrong with the assignment itself.
2. That post reminded me of a plague of similar stuff that used to
hit aaa every year around this time, until last year when we
finally got through to one of the teachers. My suspicion was that
the dreaded "CP2" posts had returned again, for the n'th time,
under a different name... (see Dejanews for more info)
