[OT] ANSI conversions, NT and more...

Hello,
My apologies for the Off Topic nature of this post, but hopefully the tag in
the Subject will keep people from getting too angry about this.
I'm trying to locate some software to convert GIFs (or any other format
of picture) to ANSI files that will run under NT. I'm also looking to
convert ANSI pics converted to HTML back to ANSI, but I don't know what all
I need to search and replace aside from the escape character.
On the former, I've tried ANSICV, which after much fooling around I was able
to get to work. Unfortunately, it only converts to solid blocks, which is
pretty limiting.
I've also tried ANSIREZ, which looked more promising than ANSICV, but I
can't get the screencap part to work properly under NT.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you can, please respond via email
as well as via the newsgroup as my server isn't always reliable. Also, you
may only want to reply via email if discussing ANSI art in this group is
terribly frowned upon (but that's up to you. I will check the group on a
regular basis.).
Thank you,

If you want it I can E-Mail it to you because I can't find it on the web anywhere. You might also want to get Graphic Workshop http://www.mindworkshop.com/alchemy/alchemy1.html#software (Shareware), it will convert between about 20 different graphic file formats. >Hello, > >My apologies for the Off Topic nature of this post, but hopefully the tag in >the Subject will keep people from getting too angry about this. > > I'm trying to locate some software to convert GIFs (or any other format >of picture) to ANSI files that will run under NT.
