Mike Losing His Account

Gumby is going down, so Mike Jittlov ("The Wizard of Speed and 
Time", my ascii portrait, local ghod of alt.fan.mike-jittlov,
all-around wizard....) is losing his account because his machine 
will no longer exist.

Is there another caltech sysadm out there who'd be willing to 
offer Mike an account? -Or anybody else on the internet who's
local to him who can offer him a free account?

What's in it for me? He could always petition my sysadmin for one, but 
he'd have to make LD phone calls to get here.

How about we all chip in and buy him a year's worth of access to Netcom?  :)

I think it's about $17 per month...  (I really don't know because my netcom
account is a gift to me by some really sweet people...)

I probably should have mentioned that Mike's local-call radius
encompasses the area immediately surrounding Hollywood, CA USA :)
Freenet (interesting system... :) ) is in Canada, and therefore
would *not* be a local call for Mike...

Caltech is a local call; Netcom would be local, but is not free....

Isn't there *some* caltech sysadm -or friend of a local sysadm- who
would be willing to help, and give Mike a free local account?

	Try the Los Angeles Valley College BBS. Mail and news for
free. (818) 985-7392.
	There must be 500 places to get free mail and news cheaply
from an LA exchange. Get 'Computer Currents' or 'Micro Times' and
have a ball.
