I dont know what it is, i can see the main form of these pictures, but for
the most part they look crappy, and i dont think its the pics.  Also what
is a animated ascii pic and how do i view it.  Please and Thank you!

Probably your fonts are wrong; try viewing in notepad...

perhaps you are viewing the ascii art in the wrong font.  They are made to
be viewed with a non-proportional fixed font... such as Courier or
FixedSys.  If you have a Mac- Monaco font works well.  If you can't change
font... (and I know AOL users can't), you can print the ascii art or you
can copy/paste to your favorite word processor application (or notepad)
and view it there with the fixed-space font...

As for the animated ascii pics, there is an entire USENET newsgroup to
discuss them... I have a few on my homepage- but they are created with
javascript coding (thanks to Llizard and Veronica Karlsson) and they must
be viewed with Netscape 3.0
