I was not aware of that, is courier the type of font i should use? This is my first ever ASCII drawing. Yes, Courier and Courier New work, as well as... (checking the monospaced fonts on my system...) Courier SudEuro, Kredit, Monotype.com, OCR A Extended, (it listed WP BoxDrawing there for some weird reason)... and other options, uh... Anyone not using Topaz New font, is still in the dark ages of ascii.

Character code 65 (decimal) means the letter 'A' - nothing more. A letter 'A' is 65 regardless of what font might be in use. Anybody who tries to view normal ascii art using a proportional font should have his/her head examined, but only the alignment will be thrown off, not the individual characters being displayed. An 'A' will still be an 'A' - it will just be part of a pic that looks really stupid. Alan My real address is alan @ netcom.ca (with a 'p' on 'alan' making it 'alanp', and no spaces).
