Yes! It's the FUNKY FUZZBALL! [10/16/02]
Today's Adventure: "Sherman and Cinderella"
===========================================================================
                        I am out on the

                         Hello there, miss!
You seem to be My name is Cinderella,
/;;;\ moving at quite /OOOo and I have to get home
                  | O| /a rate of |O ooo before midnight or-

You should slow down!
I think I saw one of /;;;\ /OOOo

                         / \ / \

It seems like glass would be a
poor choice of material for /;;;\ /OOOo
slippers. I mean, the whole \ | O| |O ooo

                                  / \ / \

Fun as always, but glass is a good conductor of heat.
That's what makes it a poor _insulator_ of heat. I like
the new website design, btw. :)

Funnily enough in the original story they were fur slippers.

I believe the story is that when translating it from its
original French, some menial translator-type person misread
'vair', fox fur, as 'verre', glass. Giving you the odd
situation of glass slippers. You know, you wouldn't
believe how often the chance to use my encyclopedic
knowledge of mistranslations in fairy tales comes up!

If it is as frequent as the subjects of clock towers and world
domination comes up in my life then I would believe it.

I heard it was originally a chinese story which explains why
Cinderella was so attractive (she had smaller feet than anyone else)
and that the sisters all broke their feet and stuff to try and make
the slippers fit.
