What is obascii?

My understanding of the term "ObASCII" is that it is a made up
compound word derived from "Obligation" and "ASCII". The purpose of
this newsgroup is ASCII art, ergo you are obliged to post ASCII. That
and you might get flamed by one of the more militant FAC commandos for
violating a alt.ascii-art precept.

ObASCII, n. ASCII picture inserted in otherwise non-pictorial messages

Close......The "Ob" actually means "Obligatory" as in 
"Obligatory Ascii"

ObAscii is normaly followed by a colin and can also be
followed by a descriptor b4 the colin to add flavor
if needed as such. And somewhere in there you should
include a title or a decription of the ascii....
