Which doesn't necessarily live up to its name... Maybe I should rename
it "recycling_bin" or "junkyard" or something like that... Hmmm... yes,
"junkyard" sounds nice... (the orignial name was "rubbish", I was in a
weird mood when I named it and applied some "Mac logic" to it, i.e. "put
the things you want to keep in the rubbish")

Mmmmm.... I don't have a Mac either... I've only _had_to_ work with one
once and that was enough. The first thing I learned was that there was
no _button_ on the disk drive!!! the only way to get my disk back was to
pull it to a little "garbage can" icon... Since then anything connected
with a Mac has had a bad connotation to me...  :P

The original intention with that directory was as a place to put things
temporarily, but I felt bored with the more obvious name "tmp"...

Hmmmmmm, there are at least three other ways to eject a disk from the Mac
without dragging it to the trash can. While doing software installs on the
Mac I much prefer it to spit a disk out at me when it's done so I know
it's time to insert another than babysit the machine and have to watch for
it to tell me it's time to pop in the next disk. By the way I use Mac,
Win95, and Linux and love or hate things about all three OS's :)
