Full Page Art?

Does anybody do full-page ASCII art anymore? I remember, years back,
seeing a couple of ASCII portraits of Kirk and Spock posted to one of
the rec.arts.startrek.* groups; the interesting thing about them is that
the background of the picture was filled in as well, rather than being
just spaces. They were both full-page size as well.

Uhura I found in a 1980 special science fiction issue of the german movie magazine "cinema" (yes, I did type this in), in an article about the (then new) "Star Trek" movie. Since scanners weren't THAT common back then this has to be made by hand. It has been printed with a dot matrix printer though, so I figure this is another great example of RTTY art. Q: Has somebody else already seen this somewhere? Who could be the author (wasn't mentioned in the article)?
