A call for artists - New Group Forming (long)

The Metropolitan Tribe http://www.metrotribe.org is a brand-new
professional development organization that combines the best aspects
of personal development, networking, and business organizations.  Our
members are talented visual rtists and creative individuals in related
fields  (e.g. writers, designers, media types, craftspeople,etc.). 
Our goal is to bring creative entrepreneurs together in unique,
positive, non-competitive, collaborative ways that other associations
do not.

Our in-person (New York Metro Area) activities will include 
special "success teams," educational/social events, and
mentoring/networking programs) designed to help our members make
invaluable, sustainable connections and friendships.  We also plan to
offer access to low-cost business services.

Online (http://www.metrotribe.org) we invite a global community to
connect to their creative colleagues around the block, or around the
world. We have a chat room, forums, and an ever-growing links
resource.  If you're a member, you
can add your web site to our member's links page without charge and we
will be actively promoting this page to get our members the visibility
and promotion they deserve!

We are just starting up, and we are seeking a select group to form a
special, invitation-only, in-person division of The Metropolitan
Tribe. We are limiting this invitation right now to those who live or
work in the NY Metro Area, and who work in any of the following areas:
 travel, the arts, fashion, careers, the environment, and technology.

The men and women that we wilil seelct must have identifiable talents
and have demonstrated their commitment to bringing their work to the
public consciousness.  The people we select to attend our premier
in-person events will find a wide variety of artists and creative
types that they will want to get to know, and vice-versa.

There are no fees, dues or costs to join The Metropolitan Tribe.
