[YAGBU] Dark orc corpses

I did a small amount of testing (read: statistically unsignificant) and found that dark orc corpses definitely increase your Strength by 1 point. What's more, I don't think there's a cap on it. At least, I tried eating several corpses with a troll barbarian. Every one of them gave a Strength increase, and at the end his Strength was 40. There may still be a ceiling, obviously, but if so it's very high, unlike the caps for ogre corpses or herbs. The +1 Strength should definitely be added to Appendix J of the Guidebook, even with brackets around it, although most characters who eat a dark orc corpse will probably be guaranteed a Strength increase. And a hint to finish off with that some may not have caught onto: if you've got a corpse that raises Strength at low levels (such as, in fact especially, an ogre corpse), it may be worth your while getting to Starving! status before eating it, either by waiting while increasing your burden status, or eating a stomacemptia herb. If your character is Starving!, your Strength will drop by a large amount, which will often take a character below the ceiling for raising your Strength with that corpse. Eat the corpse, and your Strength will be 1 point higher than it was before you were starving.

I was wondering where my post on rec.games.roguelike.adom went. Wrong newsgroup, sorry... I just clicked 'New Post' without looking.

As a forfeit you must make your next post to this group totally naked except for black ankle socks.
