One such site is mine: http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/7373/faq.htm >2. is there a site with a collection of every peice of art every put in >this group? or at least a very large collection? There are several LARGE collections of ASCII art but none that has everything on it... although some are trying.. Some big collection sites are Chris Johnsons, Kangaroos, Andreas Freise, and Erik's Wicked ASCII art site.. there are also many ASCII artists who have galleries of their own work on the net... Visit this main list for URLs and links. http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/2695/links.htm >3. i am an experianced net user, but what is gopher??? I'll let someone else handle that... my guess is that it is another way to get files-- like ftp and http... but I could be wrong! Hello! > 3. i am an experianced net user, but what is gopher??? > Gopher is an older protocol. It is a bit similar to WWW, but it only contained text and hyperlinks between them. Also a page either contained links or text but (as far as I know) not both. It had some nice features, but when the WWW arrived it is practically disappeared. Krisztian
