Naaahhh... More like a running gag in detebe, IIRC. 'cause a lot of
people who came from the BBS-"Scene" used to call a newsgroup whatever
"their" BBS-network called 'em (Forum, Brett, Area, Echo,
Messageboard...). And since someone usually didn't know what someone
else was referring to by one of these names, the artificial word /
Acronym GABELN was coined... In German, it's a pun, too, since Gabel
means a fork, and Gabeln are multiple forks...
