Because you didn't read the FAQ :-) ASCII artwork is designed and intened to be displayed using a fixed-width font such as Courier New, FixedSys, and so on. If either of the boxes below match up and look like good, solid boxes, your font is probably set properly. If not, you'll have to change your font, which I understand to be difficult to do in OE.
