Martin,i think you are issuing a license for use of your "toons"
here. You are saying "Copyright conditions" and "copyright requirements"
but these things are standard.Your conditions for use are what would
be called a license not "my fair copyright conditions".Hope you
see what I am saying.I posted a long document here in the ng about
Copyright, look it up,its got some nice links.
Also,i might add,it is perfectly allright to make parodies of
any copyrighted material, even if the owner of the copyright
doesnt approve. So even your license doesnt protect you in any
legal way from some one making a offensive diddle or parody of
your "toons".
Martin,Please dont take this personaly,i am hoping more people
than just you will read this and understand what i am saying.I
am just using your post as a nice place to inject this message.

Also,Many posters here are yapping about "Copyright" without knowing
the first thing about the subject. This is confusing to newbies and
regulars alike.
Here are some highlites about copyright that are relevant to
recent events here in this ng.I suggest any readers look this
up for themselves as well,to get a better understanding.

1.)any work of art is copyrighted when it is created, even if the
author doesnot state so when he/she publishes it.

2.)a story line or subject matter maybe copyrighted. i.e. i cant
write a new "Starwars" story with out getting permission from
the original author of the original story.

3.)copyrighted material _may_ be republished without permissiom
for educational purposes, and for other "fair use" purposes.

4.)Parodies of copyrighted material are legal to make.I can make
up parodies of "Starwars" if i want and no one can do a damn
thing about it.I can make a new "tie" fighter to add to the
"tie" fighter ascii art collection and not fear any legal
action, because they are parodies, not copyright infringements.

5.)Copyright issues are a continuing subject of confusion in
this newsgroup and readers need to educate themselves about
it.Posters here should read about copyright law b4 posting
thier opinion about copyrights and confusing the real issues
   with myths.

6.) this _is_ a unmoderated newsgroup so take everything here
with a grain of salt and and hope for the best.

7.)I am your god and you must send me money,or i will be poor.
