How about more categories than just "the best"? Like, Most Creative,
Best Improvement, Funniest, Most Poetic, etc. And have diggerent
categories for submission: female, font, sci-fi, gifs, etc.

ObAscii: As far as work on my sig goes, what do you think of:

                   /}
                  //
                 /{     />
  ,_____________///----/{____________________________________________________
/|=============|/\|-----/____________________________________________________\
\|=============|\/|-----\____________________________________________________/
  '~~~~~~~~~~~~~\\\----\{
                 \{     \>
                  \\
                   \}

But it's too big. Tabrah came up with the following flames, which I
think are really neat, but I wish it had more of them:

                    .
                   /(
                  / /
                 / / (   /(  )\ .    )\ .    \   .   ,   /(    )   /
             .  / ( ( \ (  )/  (){  /  ()    }\  }\ ((  / /   / \ /(

                   \(
                    '

                    />
                  \/<         Troy Fore
