I don't know how well this would work for y'all, but it wouldn't be hard (for me, anyway) to load up a certain DOS font editor which lets you set the character height. I could make a very plain looking font (something that looks like a dos-Arial), with a size of 8x8. This would give you a screen size of 50x80, and you could do the work in *gasp* a plain text file in edit, or qedit, or ne, or any other dos editor you want... As for displaying in a spreadsheet type thing, I could easily write a program which displays the text file in graphics mode, putting a darkish line between. Or (although it would take longer!) I could write a whole editor, including coloring... which also means being able to edit on any color background, with any color square.. (and the possibility of turning the grid off while editting to see it better:) Lets all get together. <G> Interesting group.
