Hi Andreas,

Here are the results of the dutch jury. :) Adaptations of the
javascript llizard posted in <33D...@freent.toronto.on.ca> were
used. Loaded different browsers with a variety of ascii-ani's. There
were adjustments in speed and frame size. Just wanted to get some sort
of an overall view (before my colleagues came back from their lunch
break). So i didn't have the opportunity to act as a real man of
science. ;)

1) "-" means proportional font (Arial in both msie3 cases, maybe it's
the default font of w95 ?);   "+" means monospaced font (Courier or
Monaco in netscape, does in any case not relate to font face
preference/default in macOs)

2) everything else works fine in all cases. :)

The problems i had in w95/msie3 with the initial "llizard-script" were
"solved" by:

1) skipping "slashes", because they seem to have side-effects -
sometimes "jumps" like llizard predicted the "backslash" would make,
sometimes /n"+ works as well as \n"+ (??)

2) substituting \n"+ with \r\n"+ to get rid of the "pipes" at the end
of the lines;

3) not squeezing the animation in a thight frame or making the frame
too big, cos then msie3 might hit back hard:

 jump|jum                    jump|jump
 p|jump|j         or         jump|jump
 ump|jump                    jump|jump

I had the same problem, think it couldn't find the applet. Did you
change the path, David?

BTW What does the <pre></pre> tag do? And where shall i put it? HTML
is pretty new to me, abg gb zragvba wnin. ;)
