I have. Some of those ones that come in a pot doan work. You lite
'em, and as soon as they make enuff liquid wax, they drown theyselfs,
and go out.

Then, they make a whole lot of them big, wax "candles"; like in the
shape of Elvis, er sumthin', and they don't even GOT no wick.

Anyways, yes, they is candles that doan work.

Yes, it is a crisis of considerable scope. The manufacturers of such things never stop
to think what the poor candles have to go through. Think about the pitiful things; just
when their life begins to light up, they find themselves under such duress... There is
just no way for them to survive. A candle's life is an uncertain thing, anyway. It can
only live for so long, it is at the whim of wind, rain, and fate - to say nothing of
the persecution many must endure from small children, who callously blow them out for
a cheap thrill. It is pure terror for a simple candle to be lit, brightly glowing
with it's new life, filled with the promise of light and cheer and happiness and
purpose... Only to find that it was designed in such a fashion that it's own lifeforce
will destroy itself in a sea of its own "blood". The horror is too much for me. I swoon...

Yah... there really ought to be a newsgroup to handle this issue. But I guess we will
have to do it here.
