Many font designers seem to do Capitals and Numerals and then give up on the remainder. Well you _can_ leave characters out but Figlet looks for ALL the characters so any characters omitted still have to have the Figlet codes (left blank) for each omitted character otherwise the Figlet program will munge the letters or give unexpected results. This is why I left other font letters in the figletised version I made of Henry's font...Henry had only done the Capital letters. Figlet just looks for the character '!' in the No.2 position in the font.flf file ( No.1 position being the 'space' ) it expects to find the correct character in each position...if it doesn't the results that appear on screen will be garbled. I have figletised Groups 1, 2 and 3 of your font and named it "whatever.flf" basing the font header on threepoint.flf and it works OK with Figlet just as it is even though it is a shortened font. It checks out OK with CHKFONT.EXE. You will have to complete the font putting in all the rest of your characters and leaving 3-line blanks like... @ @ @@ for all the characters that are missing. Then check your font with CHKFONT.EXE, the worst error is caused by leaving in trailing spaces on any of the lines in the font ( easily done ). I do not know what is making me get this error at the end, you probably left
out some characters somewhere, but I fixed it up as best as I could with the
help of the FIGLET Windows version error messages. First, I had to change the
number of comment lines from 14 to 15, and then the rest of the errors was that
the @ didn't all line up. As for the rest of it, I have no idea. Like I said,
it's probably omitted characters.

The @s come at the RH edge of the character and must be in a strict vertical line and the @@ is always at the very bottom line of the character...so your letters A and C are coded: /\ @ /--\@ @@ /`@ \,@ @@ Note that C is narrower in width than A and the @s have to follow the width of the letter. @ @ The @@ shows that it is a 3-line font and in this case the @@ bottom line is reserved for the tails/descenders of the lower case letters. To get the characters with a space between them you have to add a $ sign ($ = hard space in Figlet) before every @ so that your A and C then become: /\ $@ /--\$@ $@@ /`$@ \,$@ $@@ I've actually done that for my own use and named the font ejm3lins.flf, the 's' denoting the spaced version...that's how I would use your font in practice because it is unreadable without the spacing between each character. > I also didn't notice my error about the hyphen. In the following example under the dotted line, I count 15 lines including the blank lines between the date and explanation and between the "number of comment line" and the first set of characters. Is that correct? Nope...you cannot start from the date... The comment lines fooled me for some time until I studied the headers of a number of fonts. The very first line is "Figlet's Control Line" and does _NOT_ count as a comment line (which is actually an abbreviation of the listed comments, the 15 number specifying the number of comment lines).
