Actually the original artist is Charles Schulz, interpreted into ASCII form by Win Kang. I'm not being sarcastic -- I find it very funny, almost hypocritical, whenever an ASCII artist gets offended when their initials have been removed, all the while they never bothered to credit their source or reference in the first place. Does the fact that it should be common knowledge make it "O.K"? Once again, I digress... Isn't it interesting that it was around the same time last year that we had a similar discussion in a thread entitled "Ascii-artists". I remember throwing myself into the flames for making the point that one of Joan's renditions of Bambi was actually a copy of a drawing from the Disney studio (maybe even the great Walt himself did it). That's why I usually try to stay away from copying and blunder into doing my own. (This is not meant to detract from or belittle in any way the excellent ASCII-copies of drawings by Disney, Boynton, Waterson, etc. done by ASCII-artists, especially Joan and Hayley, who have done some outstanding copies.) Just copying a comic character with a different technique should not be the same, so I'd agree with RaD Man on adding C.Schulz's name. Oh yes, 'great' Walt was a pro in stripping credits. He deleted the name Carl Barks in many (all?) movies as far as I know. So 'great' Walt is selling the Ducks as his creation.
