It is hoped by so doing that readers in the other spammed newsgroups will realise that the thread is indeed a Spam and will take action to minimise it from where _they_ are sitting in other newsgroups. The main problem in alt.ascii-art is that regular readers here, who might have been expected to know better, have taken part in the thread and have also left the crosspost range of affected newsgroups unaltered. Some of them have not even offered pictures in their responses ( basic part of the "culcher" here.) But what has been the most disappointing aspect of this acrimonious thread is that most of the regulars here apparently could not care less about Spamming and have, publicly, done nothing to stop it. Nope, their only contributions have been totally negative...mainly giving me arseholes for my own efforts, good or bad, effective or useless...they are perfectly entitled to be negative and abusive...and I am also entitled to respond to them. That's the name of the game in Flame Wars! I'm not here in alt.ascii-art to win Prizes, Accolades, Friends, Popularity or Adulation...either as an Artist... or as a person. Since they can never meet to check, it doesn't matter which one is "right"; they both are. If you were to travel in a circle and return to earth at 0.5 ls for 1hr, 2hrs would have passed on earth as your relative speed to earth has dilated your timeframe. I think the times are wrong as dilation is exponential. But the theory applies. And as the galaxy moves through the universe and the sun moves through the galaxy and the earth revolves around the sun, and possibly the expansion of the univese also everything experiences dilation. As long as an object moves relative to the fabric of space it experiences dilation. In fact the continual motion of the universe and the mass within it may be the cause of time itself, as if you are "frozen" as you near ls you may experience almost infinite passage of time if you were to stop moving relative to the fabric of space. Relativity is just one of those things that is hard to explain and grasp the concept of. I hope i have clarified this and not made matters worse Burney Truckell -----------------------

I read an article in New Scientist magazine which attempted to explain quantum effects by claiming that the magazine did not exist unless you were looking at it.
